Question: why do you Guys trade the ES rather than the Nas futs? The Nas moves more = more Money.

Because NQ can't facilitate 50-100 contracts per clip.

I trade ES mostly out of habit having done a ton of homework on it. If I were to start all over, maybe I'd go for NQ instead. From what I've observed, ES is cleaner, more orderly and more predictable while NQ is a bit more dirty.

Even if NQ moves more it seems to still be subject to the same choppy nature as ES at times.

A pity nobody ever mentions YM or RTY. Except TiddlyWinks it seems.

Trading is not about money.

NQ is for pussies. ES is where real players with big balls come to play.

It's an interesting topic, actually. It seems like many (and I'm guilty of it too) trade for other reasons than making money.

IMHO, trading should only be about making money or trading well (with making money being the outcome).

I agree... money is the result/outcome of trading well. That (doing something well = earnings) applies but to a lesser extent, to most "jobs". IRL, ego gets in the way of doing something well, particularly trading. imo.

Anyway, It is an interesting topic, but not for this thread.
