I dunno though.... ahhh... you're probably right.Yeah, the author is calling for the entire world, through some sort of cabal, to depeg from the USD, and our economy will collapse but SOMEHOW the rest of the world will be OK. Before you read the article, make some Jiffy Pop to chew on. It's a doozy. Think Zerohedge squared.
...
Or mug-shotted. Whatever. More drama for the cable news ratings...
...I hope I'm wrong, and I sure hope a year from now we can still be here bickering over silly stupid bs and still laughing at it all.
I am an American living in Colombia, bailed out a couple of years ago.Would this be a "black swan" type event then?
I didn't read the article... I will later however... but I trust you wouldn't post this if you didn't take it serious. Are you American btw? And I'm totally not being nosey and I could care less either way... but the way you phrased that "national holiday weekend" part sounds like you live abroad.
Either way, thanks for the heads up.
Edit: oh I see... I looked at your profile page.. Columbia.
Pretty down there.
I don't know how seriously to take it but I will be watching. People have been talking about Operation Sandman quite a while. I do think it will happen eventually. The US has had the reserve currency since after WW 2 but has not acted responsibly, creating trillions out of nothing. Out of nothing = worthless. We send this "money" all over the world in return for real stuff and they are sick of it. That which cannot continue.....won't.I am an American living in Colombia, bailed out a couple of years ago.
Evil mouse got sick of gold, got too much pain from too many mouse traps. What is even more interesting is that GC is now above 2000, and gold is the "inflation hedge"? Surprised we have not seen more from the evil mouse, mickey...

There are easier trades elsewhere.
So far so good with gold price, I see no obstacles ahead, it can keep running atm.You have watched these patterns before, and have been though many trials and tribulations with the miners and the spot price. Combined with what is coming with the Fed pivot within the next year, do you NOT see a triple top? Why not short the futures at least? It seems to me that GC spot is unsustainable above the BRN of 2000 based on what is coming from the Fed by end of year.
A case of too far too fast. Just a suggestion.

But gold jerks around alot, not my style, it best suits shorter term traders.
Crypto for example atm is easier to trade for me, much smoother.
