ES Journal - 2023/2024

4023 incoming.

There's a great deal of support in this area and we have the weekly open at 4026, so that might stop this.

Too soon to long this. If at all, today.
 
15.75 point range. Same like yesterday. Unless volatility died this week, we should see range expansion either up or down, but possibly not by much.

Got that pullback low I referenced at ~ 35, but I don't feel like going long here. It seems like a trap to me.

Most likely it seems that we range around a bit before making a new push lower to low 20. Might not see more than that though.

Any other views?

This was the play I had in mind pre-market, but somewhere along the way I got suckered into the short side. Grrr...:banghead:

Let's see if we can push above 4044 now.

I still struggle a bit to see the upside target here, though. Range expansion takes us to 4060. Maybe.

Last week's high is 4073. Probably not today.
 
Reversed off 4044,50 like clockwork.

Now, differentiating between a pullback/reaction and a reversal. One of the most fundamental and difficult problems to solve in trading, IMO.

If anyone solved it and wants to share, please let me know... :)

My model says higher is more likely here so I'm sticking with that, but I'm not enjoying this wiggling back and forth.
