As an outsider this argument seems a bit nuts to me.

There aren't any rules that I know of for Suntrader to have broken.

Either way, if people are getting frustrated, angry or upset, then that's their own demon to conquer. A good trader needs to be in control of their emotions. So if someone is posting in a way that doesn't follow some mythical rules and that gets them upset then what does that say?

It's a lesson for myself too. In other areas of my life I get angry about silly things. I just remind myself that I wont even remember it in a years time let alone ten years time and then suddenly I don't care about it any more.

Have a think about what really makes this forum useful. Would it be better if everyone followed a certain set of rules and everyone agreed all the time? Or would it be better if people came with differing styles and view points? I generally don't agree with most people on this forum, but that's fine because I am always second guessing every decision and every trade even after I go long or short. I personally prefer to hear the opposing views and I don't think oppressing people is the way forward.

Good points brought up. I use ET to read posts of other posters because I may learn something new as well as see something I may have missed, for example if and when I see someone like @vanzandt post with big conviction him going long when I’m short, this would make me reassess my trading plan (or not lol).

But then tell me what is the point of even talking about trades? If ever trader is expected to have their own system down pat, what does it matter what anyone else is doing and why even talk about it? If you see something outrageous but aren't even supposed to question it, why even bother to come hear to read it?

Like why are you even bothering to reply to my comment? You should not even care what I have to say if you're in such a zen state as to not be bothered by any comment.

But how do you know what has value? How do you know if a trader making the random call has any value? Are you going to believe everything you read? The general consensus here is that ET is just for fucking around since there is no proof and each trader has to find their own way and prove their own system and so this means there is no point to even posting trade calls.

Lets face it, people here post calls cause they want recognition, but if they truly want recognition they have to be more transparent, which of course hardly ever are.

Listen everyone that has commented about this afternoon/evening back and forth banter, since this has kinda turn into a circular firing squad and some think what I contribute is not helpful I am going to step away from the topic.

But c ya elsewhere here.

Like I said, its a lesson for me too. I actually get quite frustrated at small stuff as well and I thought that by posting a reply with my differing point of view I would be helping myself a bit and maybe challenging other people's perspectives too.

There are tons of useless posts on here. Including some of my own, but if its not hurting anyone then its not a big deal, unless someone chooses to make it one.

I prefer to participate more in the direction of the market conversations rather than individual trade posting, while a lot of other people prefer to post trades. Both can co-exist in my opinion.

I posted a video on here of a toilet flushing the other day.

Don't leave because of me. I'm simply backing my buddy @Laissez Faire up that the postings are rather incomplete or contradictory. But it doesn't matter to me what you post and I've learned long time ago that most of what people post on here is total shit, or fake, or cherry picked, or a whole list of other problems.

There are some traders who do consistently make money, but its a fraction of the amount of posters who share random thoughts on the markets.

For everyone who hounds me for asking for proof or throwing out bullshit like I need to find my own way, I can easily fire back that anyone posting on here their thoughts or opinions are just as flawed because they have a need to share, a yearning to fit in, a need for recognition, etc. Those of us looking for transparency might be dumb for expecting a place like ET to provide this, but everyone else posting here and wasting time to do so also has their own set of tragic flaws. So for anyone criticizing us, look in the mirror, you're just as much of a loser! LOL

Sorry, I can’t be bothered to reply in full as you raise a few questions and I had few whiskeys this evening and just haven’t got the will to type :) Put it this way, if you come here, you get some value, whatever it may be. And I agree, folks post calls cause they mostly want recognition of sorts, just like instrumentalists want to be appreciated for how well they can perform. I think many traders are a ‘one man band’ and the only like minded people are then found online. So this environment fills the social gap.

Don't sweat things Noah. Your opinion, commentary, trades, or anything else... is welcome here.
There's nothing new under the sun at ET, and certainly not on B1's threads. Just be who you are, and if someone gives you sh*t... who cares.. f em.

That's why I keep coming back. Trading is a lonely endeavor. I've been here since 2007 and I think the only survivors left are me, @Buy1Sell2 and @Spooz Top 2. In another 15 years, most of us (yes, you) will be gone as well. So make the best out of it when you can. :)
