ES Journal - 2023/2024

I'm done for today. Caught flat-footed and hesitated on an entry. I placed a limit order to sell at 36.75 but market punishes those who snooze and it only came back to 36.50.

Tomorrow is another day.

Stopped for another 3 point loss. No steaks tonight.

Market's at a pivotal point here and not yet making a move. Maybe I played it too tight. NQ is looking pretty strong, though.
 
Trying the breakout long at 27.75. 3 point stop.

Calling it a day if this one is stopped.

EDIT: Make that 24.50 on the stop. Might have gotten trapped and chopped up here.

EDIT 2: And stopped. Not sure what this day brings. Just watching a bit from here to see what develops. Maybe I had the right idea on the initial short, but played it too tight.

It's a range bound day until it's not. Maybe 5440 if we don't make a new LOD here.

I can see the downside targets, but don't have the conviction to short near the lows, so taking a pass for now.
 
Watching for support at 5407/5400 or when NQ fills gap for a long.

Target on my failed short was 5407.

Could roll over and fill the entire gap at 5384 - but given yesterday's move that seems less probable.

Wrong side of the market all day so far, but being wrong on the bull side tends to me more forgiving!

Adding and taking away the add ons still and despite being red on the day, it's not a disaster at all (yet!)
We'll see how we end up
