ES Journal - 2023/2024

Letting the dust settle down first before jumping in is not a bad idea. You won't miss anything either, as you can see from the wide gyrations that came after the CPI.
And chillibean knew just when to jump in this morning. Brilliantly conceived and flawlessly executed.
 
IMO, ES down to 3955 level would be buy zone on any initial sell-off. If we somehow roll down to 3900, I would back up the truck. Otherwise, just holding my current long positions from last week.
I have to express my frustration here. Consider the following charts. One on the left is ETH and the right is RTH. The ETH trendlines work pretty nicely, but on a day like today, not even close, whereas RTH lined up with the low perfectly.

Price was messy as hell today but, unless we take a nosedive in the last hour, we're scheduled to go higher in the coming days.
 
I have never liked hourly charts on ES, just a preference thing. I look at 30-minute on ES with ETH (and 2-hour) but then look at an hourly of the S&P 500 index (obviously with RTH). Looking at both keeps me honest!
