Today's session felt very contained, though. Like the powers that be wanted to pin down this price range.
Except for the first 2 hours, which probably forced everyone to call it quits.
Well, that's part of what I mean by contained. 3 down/up/down moves like that are fairly unusual. It's like there was a floor and ceiling put in today.
Monthly options have am expirations. Whatever open interest there was yesterday was settled before the open. So I doubt that has anything to do with the pa today

I was using this calendar which seems to say that Friday (yesterday) is the last trading day for options with actual expiration on Saturday.
I found this helpful handy calendar from the horse's mouth? Maybe it will help. It doesn't mention Saturday settlements...
