Kind of off topic for this forum so forgive me and also conjecture. But what if markets start to go parabolic as people look for return on $ due to inflation? Anyone have thoughts on this just out of curiosity?

To me this is the worst scenario, because things would come unraveled in a real way. Difficult to come back from deep deflation, it's a whole another ball game with hyper inflation, that's a complete killer.

Why would people trade to make money to pay the bills? Wouldn’t people sell holdings to pay the bills? Just my two cents.

This is why I don't think a pivot will happen. But I'm fine being wrong.

It would undermine all of the previous efforts to lower inflation.

Also, if chips cant be made in China, and inflation goes crazy. Then are Apple really going to still keep making money if iPhones reach $6000?

I know but this isn't a logical thing necessarily, that's why it's so dangerous. It's almost like a tipping point event. A lot of people are strapped for cash true, but those people aren't the ones that typically move the markets anyways right? I don't really know, just a thought I had.

Do you know Qualcomm can sell chips to huawai new phone? much about nothing. If China gets hit, no one gets a new phone.

That's exactly why I said "if chips cant be made in China". They will need to be made somewhere else and cost more. My view is that this will cause inflation to get even crazier than it is already.
