ES Journal - 2021/2022

nutty moves. Nothing changing for now since my entry is super high. Still favouring another drop, but they're pushing it pretty good, again more than i'd have expected. thin tape

This for sure makes a difference.

I also trade the NQ, and that is much thinner, and hence why price tends to overshoot levels more. And when trading the micro contracts on both ES and NQ, that is thinner still, and it definitely overshoots levels as well. For example, price in ES can stop at 3650, but the micro contracts can poke down another 4 ticks or so.

So for guys who have clear levels in mind, if the volume is half of what it usually is, it can go through a level by a few extra ticks from what you expect.

It ain't closed Monday, only a 4-hour halt at 12PM ET. You're a futures trader, no sleep for j00! Only full day off you get is on Good Friday, for some reason. :)

(And I think if X-Mas falls on a Friday, but cannot remember.)
