ES Journal - 2021/2022

New projections based on the median forecast by Fed officials sees the federal funds rate rising to rise to 0.9% by the end of 2022, to 1.6% by the end of 2023 and 2.1% by the end of 2024.

0.9 % one year from now.

not going to happen, some s*t will happen in between and we are back to square one. i have not seen the normal rate since 2008.

Point is it sounded like rates were actually rising, but when the rates are effectively zero that ain't much anyhow.

LF u stay up past your bedtime to watch the fed decision ? Lol what time is it over there

LOL. 6 hours ahead of New York. Still wide awake. :)

While U.S. stocks fell Tuesday ahead of what’s expected to be a hawkish Federal Reserve policy meeting, one investor just bet $65 million on a quick market rebound. The trade saw someone purchase roughly 20,000 call spreads that are linked to the S&P 500 and expire right before the Christmas holiday. The transaction involved selling calls with a strike price at 4,750 to fund bullish options exercisable at 4,650.

party on...

I wonder how much he made today?

Wow. That was one incredible move. Puts the prior FOMC days this year to shame by a wide margin. Not often the market moves 50 points without even a 5 point retrace on the way.

I haven't listened to any FED speak, but I suppose the market's pleased. Even at 0.9% at the end of next year that's still virtually zero.

holy, sell order got filled at 4685, just incredible. this week alone pocketed 582 points, was even trading on volumes. only one red day this month, crazy,

Jesus Christ. That’s awesome. I went long before the fed announcement on 1/10 size and never added. Kicking myself !
