ES Journal - 2021/2022

Than wouldn't that be a 30mn bar? I used to use CQG also and the time frame bars are the same as everyone else's, Currently using TT,

been using cqg for years. The hourly has always closed on the half hour bc market opens at 930 est so it starts at 930-1030, 1030-1130 etc

Both of the spreads the diagonal Mon/Fri 4150/4160P and todays 4190/4200/4210 call fly have been blown out of the water thus far. Low risk, though.

The fly still has a chance.

Yeah, I sold a couple in the 29s and one in the 27s MES. All closed this minute. The only keeping me even in ES today.

Will be looking to get long next.

Currently the the 1mn is in the buy zone, text book wise, the 60 is where it should be if we are going back up,

well yes it does open on the 1/2, in this case you are correct but 1 hour charts start and stop at each hour, 1/2 hour would stop on the half,

Platform controls bar duration, not the feed. Feeds are basically streaming 24 hours a day. The platform creates bundles of timestamped data. The platform either provides settings for session starts/ends or it doesn't. If it doesn't, you get whatever is provided for your brokerage account.

On Ninja, with CQG, you have the option to use a session template of RTH which will begin on the half hour, or 24/7 which will populate at the top of the hour. I assume most platforms have this feature.

well I’m using cqg trader. Sorry I wasn’t clearer. Often I’m trading on my phone and there is no option to change the time stamps via the app. If there is, I haven’t found it. I’ve just learned to make due and I’m actually content with the feed
