Bear market rallies can be hard to navigate and it's hard to see that kind of 'strength' being a mere retrace in the big picture. I've certainly been fooled more than once and certainly not for the last time.

Should be some good ranges to play today both up or down regardless of which way we have the main move of the day.

While yesterday's late session sell off was a nice one, we're only down about 7% from the top on a closing basis and haven't yet had a 2 % day down on ES this year. If this is only a 10% correction that takes us to low 4300 eventually.

My main view for today is that we may see some initial buying just like yesterday, but that we'll sell lower in RTH eventually - if not already from the start. As always in these volatile markets - best to stay nimble and don't marry any particular view, but the trend is still down.

Big moves - no sustained direction yet.

Currently watching from the sidelines after a few scalps both long and short.

Maybe wait for a break above/below the OR. Early longs above the OP.

Looks like a retracement on the day so far.
 
The day so far pretty much went as I expected, but didn't trade it too well. Finished the day green, but took a few stops on my shorts by simply not giving them enough room to breathe. It's hard (at least for me) to sustain those 10 + point pops while holding a trade.

ES current low is down -1,38 %.

I'm not sure what to expect by EOD, but 2 % down wouldn't be too crazy. That's 4385.

As I was typing this we had a pretty impressive move off the LOD. Them bear rallies, huh? If there's such a thing as the PPT - maybe I'll join them for a long above 4475. Otherwise, I'm probably just watching here.

You still targeting 4265? I am looking at 4410 ES monthly support personally. Think good probability we eventually go lower than that, but so far both NQ and RTY have had some decent bounces off their monthly support. So, I'd be looking for ES to give the same thing.

I didn't expect such a big move off of ES 4410 monthly support. Got caught in a short a little bit wasn't too bad. But I notice it's rare I don't make money before 11:00am and it's also rare I make money after 11:00am. Still up very good for the day, including overnight trades. Love trading all day... but looking at my stats may have to keep it till just 11:00am.
