A Santa Claus rally is a jump in stock prices, observed in the final five trading days of the year, typically starting a day after Christmas and going into the first few trading days of the New Year. Historically, this seven-day period has brought good news for investors, giving them another reason to cheer during the holiday season.

Always nice to hear a bit of history, thanks.

Longer term position player looking to post here some shorter term ES trades to begin to get a feel for the intraday movements etc. Some positions will be held overnight and I will use this as a training ground to get stops put in at correct levels etc. It may take me a while to get good. I am used to holding positions for weeks and months.

I'll be posting here Jan 1.
Thanks for the great thread B1.

Here's my 2 cents----The Fed cannot control inflation by raising interest rates, they can only destroy the economy by doing that. The only thing that can reduce inflation is the government spending and distributing more money. Perhaps Powell has some indirect influence there since they can create money.

If inflation runs high, the economy will get crashed anyway.

Stopped by a McD over a highway stop, a sausage breakfast meal is 11.99 plus tax. it is just ridiculously high, easily run over 50 bucks for a family of 4. What for? That is not even a real food.
