great trade there @Laissez Faire
I got in long before you by a few points and got stopped for -4 then missed the parabolic upmove

Well, thanks.

The entry was good. The exit is where I get paid. I had 2 x 10 + point profit trades go back to a few points profit yesterday. The same thing can still happen here.

I'm holding it for a few points in profit now. Maybe I'm being to greedy and should rather have taken an exit here, but I genuinely believe we have a good chance at 3390 or more today.

Economic numbers coming out in a few. I'll play it like this.

5 points locked in with a stop below yesterday's Low. If stopped out - may re-enter again on buy signals.

Bullish sentiment is still very strong here.

Rinse and repeat. :)

This is not the equivalent of trying to catch a falling knife as was incorrectly attributed to me earlier this week. I'm buying into a key support level after I observe price slowing down there. I also have my weekly forecast which is bullish to aid my decision.

If 50 breaks - we'll probably see 40.

Headed out for a morning run now.

nice trade. One of the things that stepped my trading up to the next level years ago, was catching those falling knives. You’re early to the party instead of late. Of course, timing and money management play a crucial role as always. You don’t blindly jump in trying to catch a reversal. You stalk a previous area and wait for price to get there.

Thanks. As long as you have a basis for believing a reversal is due at a certain level - I think it can work great.

On that subject - I used to be terrified of picking bottoms or going long near one. When I started out I was a chronic short trader.

These days it's the other way around. I'm much more anxious to short the markets - although there's plenty of decent short moves even on a bull day these days.

Guess the FED's been f''king with me too. :)
