PPT in the past would always do a good job disguising their market operations in order to maintain some market integrity and appearance of a level playing field... Nowadays they don’t even bother anymore ... nor do they care ...their elevation act is just so blatantly obvious...

I hear that. Today was like they figured out a way to totally obliterate any semblance of TA and PA. Caught me off guard but I weathered an unacceptable drawdown. Unfair advantage: FED

I don't think was negated at all! Close was below upper shortest term trend resistance and volume confirms downside activity. What is interesting is that at 8:30a(pst), the daily volume was running at 75% of yesterday. At the close, volume was only 1.21% of yest. So you can see, the vast majority of volume came during the first 2 hours of trade, and was clearly down. The rest of the day was merely retrace, as noted by the shallow pace of the resulting volume.

Here's a daily, showing the close below the upper shortest-term trend line.

Also, as a reminder, ATH occurred in February. Context... Always keep things in context.
