Remember... The bull takes the stairs... The bear jumps out the window

The VeeZee top might soon become the VeeZee floor.
That magic number again. That would be 2978. If it falls, were back to a sell-off gradually down to 2690 again. We'll see some resistance at 2978 though. It won't go without a fight.
I might need to redraw my charts though. Haven't done that in awhile for you guys.

Love me some VZ charts and analysis so by all means :cool:

As far as today is concerned it can tank straight to oblivion. I gotta de-risk after this one. Been swinging above my pay grade a bit ;)

Maybe it was incomplete information to begin with. Then again I wouldn't know...

This was the full message (put on this morning):

"I’m buying 1 Jul 06 ES 3000 put and selling 2 Jul ES 2905 put, I’m receiving $2 for the spread, the max profit is at ES 2905 which will be $102. I start loosing under ES 2803."
Options are pretty cool. And using spreads is the way to go. I have only really used options directionally in all my years, I did do a few bearish spreads on Twilio last year as I recall.

You should delve into them though. Start slow and start small. Use simple strategies at first until you get a feel for things. Don't try to understand it all at once, you'll get overwhelmed. Tbh, since you really like this game and you'll probably be playing for many more years, I'd start learning them. You won't make as much as say catching a 50 point move being just long or short, but your risk will be less. And as you start to develop more intuition as to which direction you think things are heading, you should be able to do pretty well.

One thing I know is if you want to do this as a "professional" amateur and supplement your income over the years, you have to realize its a marathon, not a sprint. Sprint... and sooner or later you'll go bust. That's great if you have tons of money to just jump back in and start again, but there's no reason for that. Knowledge is power. You hear things like "the Greeks"... sounds intimidating, but its really not. If I can read that stuff and understand it... you can for sure. I'm not saying its easy, but its easy. Never stop learning right? Especially at your damn age.
