Tried to find a good cover of this one.
John Denver was an incredible song-writer. One of the best.

I agree.

But ain't no one going anywhere on no jet plane anytime soon. Not like they used to at any rate.

Many airlines also will be gone - shareholder equity wiped out.

Boeing will continue as a company - no jobs or very few jobs will be lost.

Shareholders will be left holding flaming bags of doggy doo doo.

Yeah its gonna be tough for the sector going forward for sure. Someone in another thread yesterday mentioned $LUV, Southwest... they'll probably survive. If I had to pick one, that would be it. U.S. based at least. Best balance sheet by far.

I think BA is going to go the way of GM. That massive debt deal they just did bought them some time before the inevitable. Bond holders will get bailed out at the expense of the shareholders.
They are first in line.

A good friend of mine is a pilot for Southwest and he is pretty confident that they will come out of this dinged up but no lasting damage. He tells me that his pilot friends on other carriers are scared $hitless.

They were even better when Kelleher was running the show but still a strong company.
