In Australia, Federal & State elections are compulsory, if you fail to vote they a) levy a fine b) drivers license suspended.

And I'm sure forced voting participation breeds the process of intelligent leadership selection.

Why didn't I think of that? Oh right - because its a dumb idea and doesn't change the fact that most people who show up at the voting booths during election time don't have a fucking clue about current affairs.

Possibly the logic is the higher the percentage of voting participants, less chance of a rigged result.

Logically and while using their brain, all political parties should propose that candidate who is most fitted to lead the country. What you see in the USA is that the most visible qualities of both candidates include:

• they are both overaged and can die any minute
• brains don't work anymore (for Trump brain never worked...) to do the job decently

These are such an "impressive" qualities that I wonder : how on earth can the Americans agree with these two candidates and don't see any problem with that? These two should lead "the biggest power in thge world"? They should push the nuclear button or decide over war and peace?

My view on the US has changed dramatically as I have doubts about the intelligence of the majority of the American population. To "make the US great again" the population should request real normal candidates that have shown their qualities in past, are still healthy and don't suffer of alzheimer, dementia, senility...

The US elections are a joke where you can choose between two braindeath overraged candidates that would never find any job in a normal economy. It is clear that the standars in politics are not high, but that is so in many countries all over the world.

I would vote for Biden because I think Biden will be controlled by a group of politicians, who hopefully are in better condition.
Voting for Trump is voting for an unguided missile. Trump knows everything; his "things in his head you know" are working good as he said yesterday when proposing to inject desinfection in covid -19 patients.. He is also the man who is in perfect health; probably the fittest President ever in the US (LOL). But strangely enough when he had to go to military serviced he was too sick for that.

Putin must almost have an heart attack laughing from the US elections. He does not have to interfere in the electionsas the two candidates can, for him, not be better. They will both be very harmfull for the US politics and economy.

I think for most European the US is now a shadow from what it was before. Trump and the two candidates for the elections are detremental for the image of the US in the rest of the world.

A few remarks:

Trump was BEGGING the South Korean president to send urgently chirurgical masks a few weeks ago. 600,000 pieces were send, so the US cannot take care of themselves.

Trump was BEGGING Mexico a few days ago (you know these people who would pay the wall) to start up production again as the military industrial complex in the US is falling apart because they need material produced in Mexico. So the US cannot take care of themselves.

Patriotic behavior cannot hide reality. We live in a economical system where all countries need each other. If tomorrow the US would be isolated economically it would crash, just like any other country would crash.

The top 500 companies in the US generate probably over 50% of their business outside of the US. Whay would happen if these 50% would disappear? HP,Dell, Microsoft, Mc Donalds, Pizza Hut, Exxon, Oracle, Google, Facebook, Snapchat, Whatsapp, Burgerking, Boeing, and thousands of other US companies need their business outside of the US to survive. They even opened plants abroad to make live for Americans cheaper as products became cheaper. These US companies cannot close their plants abroad or they will go broke. That's how little the US needs other countries.

Not all Americans are stupid, only those who voted for Trump are.

The Republican party choose Trump as their candidate. For the Republican party Trump was the perfect candidate to run for President. If not they would have chosen somebody else.

After that Trump was lucky with the candidate of the Democrats.
