I don't know where this "just as many die in car accidents" comes from. According to the NHTSA we average about 38,000 highway deaths per year here.

That's just over 100/day. 104 to be exact. That many probably died in NY/NJ alone in the time it took me to log in and read all these posts. I mean if I'm missing something here... please chime in.
Everything else aside, that argument's weak as best as I can tell. And if people weren't so stupid, that number would be far lower.

The numbers are lower, because with everyone being stuck at home, they are having lots of sensual sex, rather than going outside and getting killed by rabid cabbies.
I was there on business about twenty years ago. It was already very different from what my Father called “The Golden little city in the desert”.

Undergrad at LSU, party schools I understand. Playboy Magazine used to rate party schools. One year they published their list and noted “LSU is not listed as we only rate amateurs”.

Sheesh. So much bickering in this thread the last several pages. No wonder people can only tolerate this place intermittently. Change the thread topic to "Dick size contest". Is it more important to stroke your ego and try to be right?Or try to focus on being consistently profitable and have some friendly comradery in which we can (God forbid) teach and learn a bit from one another? Hell at the very least be decent.
And honestly who gives a shit how this all plays out. Odds are noone posting here can have a major direct impact on the overall outcome anyway. Not to mention uncertainty breeds opportunity in this field so the more jacked up things get the more opportunity for volatility.
I want to see the virus get resolved so good people will quit dying and people trying to take care of their families can get back to work but it is what it is.
No matter how you slice it this all ends very badly at some point. But like Speedo says just follow the bouncing ball and keep trading your plan. Otherwise maybe try to have some character when you post? *Shrug*
P.S. Having a degree doesn't mean shit. A lot of money spent to acquire a well greased brainwashing in many cases. If your goals require you to get a degree then jump through the hoops by all means. Otherwise save yourself a lot of money and time.
