Isn't the depth in the DOM mostly fake?

Only current bid and ask. I tend to not look at the DOM much and would like to eventually get rid of it all together, I am just really use to it for execution.
Generally speaking trading on a chart is just more efficient.
Not one successful long term day trader I know uses information on the DOM, very few use it to execute only, the rest use information on a chart only and trade on chart only.
I don't care about any information on the DOM. I am just so use to trading on it, from my experience and trading with others watching it just makes you make knee-jerk trading decisions, chart is the way to go.
And what exactly would you do with those sticks? You don’t trade short side, pally!

Yeah. LOD most likely in. My bet for today is a close above 2850 with a small chance we'll make a new HOD from here.
NQ is putting in an interesting divergence here though.
A rejection of the HOD when we get there can set up a strong sell, but it's not the most likely scenario. IMO.

I'm thinking back to 2000 and 2008. This decline and ramp back uo feels different . In 2000 and 2008 the bad news keep coming out for months on end . Were getting the same terrible news week in and week out but the mkt has chosen to completely ignore all bad news and acts like in 3 months we'll be back to normal . That couldn't be any further from the truth.
