AMP. Very good broker. They have an illogical phobia about short calls or puts on futures + They should tighten up the margin a bit. Look at this ridiculousness:

Yeah, that's the current margin. IB $27k+, AMP $2.6k. Go figure

Wait is that the margin table for AMP? Cause IB margin is like 2x that table...AND intraday margin not currently available. So pretty much full 27k needed for intraday ES.

I don't think there was any news, its just a great stock for the long haul. It IPO'd back in July for about $45. Not that means anything really.

I got in about $16.10 Monday morning. I had been watching it and I couldn't believe it got down to almost $15. I just happened to click on it in my trading window. I was like "fu****!" If I hadn't been dicking around here with B1's bs... I'd have got in cheaper. I have a few posts here after that about it, I took a big position and swore I wasn't touching it. I told quite a few people I know to go all in on the bitch. A couple here too via PM.

Ahhh.... it'll pull back again. But who knows. If it ever hits the $14's, buy it.
 
Yes, I copy pasted from morning email. It may have changed a bit since then, I don't really care. Noone123 should need to use margin that low, but $27k is ridiculous

So they still offer intraday margin on ES for 2650. That's 1/10th of IB current requirement. Wow. I can increase my buying power 10x...although, probably won't want to max out that much.
