I am not getting the government's endgame here. (not just the American) OK, so after 3-4 weeks we reopen everything, then one outsider with the virus restarts the whole thing. Are we going to do this until the vaccine arrives?

Now they could say this is just to slow the virus down so we can get ready. OK, but they are not building hospitals like the Chinese did. We have in town closed down school buildings (not due to the virus) perfectly good acting as hospitals. Takes only a couple of days to throw in beds. In the South they could just raise tent camps outside of the big cities.

So I am not getting it. What is the plan and the endgame?
Do we even have the capability or the will to build hospitals in 3-4 weeks while everyone is caved in? Likely not. However, where I am (where the media dubs as the epicenter of US), shelters are going up (some new, some renovated motels). I think the pace will pick up eventually.

Futures went out at 2475 at 3pm central time . So 5% down is 2351. So i ask again why are they limit down at 3.8% or 2393.25 tonight? Same thing happened last night

I have 2531.50 as the closing price for 3:00 PM CT. You're referring to the 4:00 close.

Your right . I rarely look at graphs and they're in central and not eastern time . I was looking at 4 central time. But 2531 is not right ether . Them limit down would be 2404. they traded at 2398 tonight already.

Yer confused. First thing you need to do is figure out what timeframe you are on, when the Futures market closes, their settlement price, and what the CME market hours are.

The CME limits work just fine, and always have. Perhaps your clocks and calculations are not. :-)

You can make big money on limit overnight
lmao

Just buy the limit down.
If it doesn’t move until US open.
You’re able to close it I believe.

It’s almost risk free

No, you'd sell the limit down right before it hits, because the RTH open will gap down along with it, and may even get to the esteemed 13% level during RTH, which has not yet been hit since NYSE breakers were introduced.
