Great job!

What were your stops on those two?

Firstly, i'm not a trader. Gave up in the end after failing with charts/TA for the best part of 10 years!

I'm just someone who follows people who I know have a massive 'edge'. Call me a gambler. That's fine lol. I'm just here for fun and to make the odd trade post if I have time to post it

With the first trade, the stop was really tight (on the 'proper' entry), but I missed the dudes call (he got in close to the low tick at 2866 with a 5 point stop or so), so I was 20 points too late with my 2886 entry! So my r:r wasn't great. But he was confident of his target so I took it late anyway

With the 2nd one, stop was 8 points

I'm just getting started myself and that sounds like a good plan. I've been demo trading the ES but the broker I am demo trading has really unstable software especially the last few days.

I opened an account with Interactive Brokers but from what I have seen online I am not sure I like the charts. I've practiced using 5 minute candles like Al Brooks so I want to be able to continue using white & black on a white background. All I see online about Interactive is green and red candles on a black background. I haven't funded the account so I have no access to their charts to see if I can change the settings to my liking. Does anyone here know if I can change Interactive's charts?

I already have a Schwab account. I need to top it off at $25,000 to day trade? I can do that. Maybe that would be a better way to get started given the current volatility? 10 shares of SPY?
Better to use $30K, that way you won't get locked out if you have a bad day and dip below $25K. Read the PDT rules before you start, there's some nuances on the margin side if you hold a position overnight. It can get a little confusing if you've never done it before.

Will we finally get the long awaited trading halt today? 1997 was the last halt as i recall. Down 7% . I don't think anyone wants to be long over the weekend . If we really let go i'll be scaling every 10 pts down and hold for a few days .
