The set up has occurred 15 times in 50 years and only once did it not result in a positive one month return. The % from high has not been at all statistically significant with respect to this set up. We will know soon enough and the criteria is simply is the S&P higher than 2844 on 9/5/2019

Having trouble seeing what 2844 is from? It wouldn’t have been from Friday’s close?

Would so much easier on the brain if you guys wrote the full price instead of just the last 2 digits. We saw the 3,000, 2900, 2,800 and 2,700 handles, when reading back-post its brain draining to mentally add the front 2 digits. Then there's also the guy that uses , instead of . as a decimal and the guys that mean points rather than price to help the confusion, so, 4 didgit prices please, I've got a simple mind.

Disagree. I don't even trade the thing, but I know what they mean when they say 50.00. They are just lopping off the two major digits. So 2850.00 for example. You can adapt, yer human.

(By the way, I agree that it is a bit annoying, but I would preach that you should adapt to it, rather than ask them all to change the way they type their prints.)

Unless y'r reading a post of Aug5 which means 2,950, or if Aug1 then it's 3050, unless it was Aug6 then it would be either 2,750 or 2,850... take your pick, what's 100pts here or there. Happy you are fine with that though.

Just took profit on my 86.00 long at 59.1

We certainly will.

A month is a long time, so certainly no disagreement on my side. But when you said now look at 12/26/2018 - I interpreted it as you drawing a parallell between that day and yesterday. Seeing how the first happened after a 20 % drawdown and yesterday is not that far from a market top - I feel that's a difference.

FWIW, I think the week low is not yet in RTH. Thursday or Friday, IMO.

I think those posting only double digits are day trading and I think that's fine. If someone is swinging for larger trades like you are doing - it makes a lot more sense to add the whole number.

Nice trading, man! :)

Nice trading, man!

Thanks
Had a good day on the 5th/6th.
the above shorthand was just to highlight the point, should read bought at 2,786, t/p at 2,859.1
I also bought more S&P as well as the NDAQ, DOW, DAX & FTSE on the after market dip, total 16 contracts bought (6 already close today) and t/p on 9 existing shorts. Was a busy day for me
