Look dude, price does not always trade through when I get a fill. Most of the time it does. But all that is required to get a fill is two things: First, that your buy limit price goes offer ... I don't know if it is possible to roll back and replay a DOM ladder but I assure you that several times during about a six or seven second span price went 4bid/4.25offer without 4 trading - that is how the market works - it goes lower until no one is willing to sell for even one tick below the offer, and then it reverses. That is how the better scalpers don't even trade off of charts - they just scalp off the DOM and perhaps use market profile.
Second requirement is that you have to be in the queue: When buying the levels I buy it is literally "first come first served" and I guarantee you I am getting my limits in place just as soon as humanly possible based on PA. I am trailing a HWB limit order from the first higher high on a tick chart and I am adjusting it at every tick higher because in this game, if you're not first, your last.
Just for the record, except for esfocus and his unnatural obsession with @speedo I have not seen anyone asking anyone else for "proof" in this thread since I've arrived except lately a few morons are asking it of me.
Here's the deal: In many cases I post my limit orders in advance ... sometimes hours in advance ... I've never edited or deleted a post to conceal a loss ... wtf do I care if y'all know I have a loss.
80% profitable? Hmmmm ... I am sure I never made any claims about my %winners to losers here or anywhere, for that matter. Today I made 6 trades - 4 were winners 2 were losers so today was 66% profitable for me.
I do not disclose the size of my position - it varies depending upon the set up, current volatility, calculated risk, etc. and it shouldn't matter to anyone whether I am trading 3 or 30 ... or, in some cases, 26 because that's all I could get filled at my price.
I have often waited to post a trade here until price pulled back to my entry because often I am filled and price immediately moves in my favor (this is especially true in the NQ) I do not like taking heat and my trades are designed to generate little to none.
As for the charts I post, I did post two on Friday that were explicitly for example purposes only. However, the others I post show LIVE OPEN POSITIONS ... those lines on the chart are generated by the platform, not me.
Do you understand? When you see me post a chart like this:
I did not draw that line at 7714 ... that is showing a live open position with P/L in # of ticks ... What I don't show is my size.
As for the ES trade today, here is how it was reported to me by my broker ... that price was available for about seven seconds during which time I got filled ... it was again available within about minute and a half right as I was posting the trade to the thread.
Look ... when that low tick is trading, there is a seller and a buyer ... If you can't figure out how to be that buyer that's not on me. I must have read 100 posts here at ET, recent posts, where guys are saying "I can't believe how many times I buy the exact high or short the exact low. Who TF do you think is on the other side of that trade ... a ghost? No ... someone who knew better.
I will tell you this ... I never short the low tick, and I never buy the high tick. That is not how I trade. My set ups won't allow for it. Anyone whose set ups have that happen to them, especially on a regular basis, is a moron.
And here's another the thing ... anyone who has asked about any of my trades posted to this journal has gotten an answer from me detailing exactly why - no hocus pocus ... no magical incantations ... no stupid "No way am I going to give away my edge" blah blah blah. The problem seems to be that f^cktards like you come along and read the explanation and take that for "hindsight" analysis. WTF ...
