My belief is that we will make it into the mid 2700s to 2800 before another round of sell off begins. Longer term we recover from that and move higher.----Izzy.

You will need catalyst such as US gov opening back up with border wall funding and China trade agreement. Keep in mind Q1 earnings starting this week...could also act as catalyst in either direction...with declining volume in ES my bet is still down

Hmm, so 12 trading days ago, how long did you think it would take the ES to reach 2600?

12 trading days ago, the ES was at 2380ish at the RTH open. 12 trading sessions later , the ES is at 2595.

So the ES could go over 200 points in 2.4 weeks, but will take 3 months to go another 100 now?

And by the way, 3 months from now is "sometime in April".

it's March, i corrected myself.

Or possibly late Feb.

Opinions on tonight?

There does not seem to be any news catalysts right now. Equities markets may stay in their recently tigher range until some major news hits. I may nibble a bit by going with early momentum in the Asian session by buying either calls or puts for a potential day trade, but with a trailing stop.

Yeah, at least not tonight anyway. We've got Citi (C) tomorrow, all eyes will certainly be there to kick the week off. Its going to be a BIG week.
ES might be flat to down out of the gate. It should be at least.
