All were warned not to trade a day like today. Its called chop and you walk . It can mess your mojo up.

was a trend up day on my chart


Guy posted the channel and was saying swing short when that chart showed a swing long entry to me

You got chopped because you were trading with a bear bias on a trend day


Happens to us all especially if you are a contrarian trader and yea it sucks to get caught fighting that type of day but all we can do is follow our trading plan and live to trade another day when we do get it right

Trading range until 1:30 or so ... short I announced here at ET at the red down arrow, but we flipped it schizo style when that blull flag broke to the upside ... I'd consider today a trading range that broke out for a strong afternoon rally.

I still think that th earket itself looks like it is going to set up a prolonged, mulitmonth trading range between 2600 and 2900 as the most likely levels. Once we open up broad swaths of the economy, then the market wil decide in which direction the break of that range comes. But that opinion of mine does not affect whether I am long or short thorughout the trading day with respect to my day trades.

Yes and the four largest banks in Australia operate the four largest brokerage operations in Australia.
Why would all four banks be so keen to own brokerages.
Gummint here is complicit in allowing banks to have a conflict of interest.
And the ASX here is listed on the ASX.

What are the 4 largest brokerages in Oz? I thought IB was big down under.
Either way... wtf does that have to do with Carl Icahn, commercial real-estate, and the price of eggs in general?

What we ought to do is have everyone who owns a MAGA hat open first. Then the rest of us will open on election day.

Well, I talked to some of my people about things today...believe it or not I do know a few intelligent people....albeit they aren't quite on my level yet... but that said, they tolerate from atop their ivory towers because... well, just because... ... anyway, word is Biden is gonna win by a landslide. His pick for Veep is inconsequential at this point. Its looking like (and god she is annoying)... but its looking like Kamala. You heard it here first. Personally, I thought he'd pick Stacey, but we are in some serious sh*t, every aspect of our way of life lies in the balance.... Attorney General of CA is nothing to sneeze at. #2 in line needs to be well qualified.
Who knows... just passing on what the round-table of both lib and con brainiacs are saying.

lol! I don't peruse forum sections in stuff I do not trade. I only reply to threads I see on the "Threads with recent posts" tab, and sometimes they happen to be in sections I do not visit. Stocks is one of them.

Thats incorrect vol. If you read my other notes i didn't trade after 11 am and wasn't caught with any bear bias. Only after the fact did we know we were going to grind up for 2 straight hrs . It could have been up 6 and down 4 all the way up . Yesterday was an up day till the gilead news came out and we tanked. Did the charts predict that ? lol.I choose not to trade these type of days and most traders shouldn't .
