It could be one of those outlier days, but the HOD is most likely in for today. Could see a slide from here, but it's probably we'll just trade sideways from 28-34 for the remainder of today's session. IMO. 
At the very least shorts, other than scalps, haven't been very trendy lately. But that's how fashion is ... this week's trend will be loved by the late adopters, but the influencers will already be on to a new trend.
Then again, 15 point intrasession spreads high to low can tempt even the trendiest to go counter to the crowd.
Slowly working the turn here. Should be good for a slide down to 28 and below. IMO.

If we do slide (and we should within the next 15 minutes if we do), I have a 2nd scenario mapped out which takes us down all the way to 2720 by the close at 16:00. I don't have a clear read on this, but my base scenario is 28 with a potential for more (20).
Would be surprised to see new highs by the close today, but I'm still learning this game.
I think ES 2740 or so trades soon ... perhaps today ... probably today.
But then again, I trade pork bellies, so what do I know?
Well, not really bellies. More like a belly.
And I don't really trade it so much as pass it back and forth between me and a buddy at the Costco parking lot. But it is a pork belly.
