Expecting most of the action on the short side today.

Looking to sell a push above 3288,75 (Y Day High) if it fails. May not get even that. Let's see...

The gap fill at 88,50 appears to be in play. Currently flat and stalking a short entry for today.

Maybe around 3289.

The 1 tick FBO at the HOD was a great short entry. But no love for the shorts in this market. LOL.

Got another sell signal at 86,50. Let's see if we finally can get some follow through.

EDIT/UPDATE:

Shorted 85,75 with a 2 points stop. It's risky with the open gap above as the intention may be to fill that before reversing, but I'm getting sell signals and NQ is confirming with divergence trading well below it's HOD and making lower highs.

In addition I have other data supporting a sell for today.

But this IS a bull market...

Shorted 3288 (poor fill). 1,5 point stop.

Rationale: Gap filled. R10. FBO. NQ Divergence. + Other stuff.

Feels like stepping in front of a freight train, but it's worth a 1,50 point risk. Targeting new lows on the day - but need to see some follow through fast.

Edit: And hit by the freight train. Boom. -1,5.

Yes. I am overall bullish, but had reason to believe we could see the main leg down today. That didn't materialize and at this point it seems very unlikely we'll get any kind of selling today.

Will probably print 3300 by the close today.

Yes. But the dip is always bought these days it seems. And these spikes ain't that rare these days either. Good reminder for having a stop in place.

Hopefully no one on here needs to be reminded to have a stop but as a day trader, I just look for signals...up or down is of no import.
