tbf, (short term) TA kinda goes out the window when you have major policy announcements e.g. the ECB thing in less than quarter of an hr.

Not sure I can agree with that totally. While there are surprises, I think that TA used on longer term charts can many times point the direction of the trade.

and reasonable stop losses cover the times where it's wrong.

It's the ratio between stop and target that makes or breaks most equity curves.

He is trying to policy align with FOMC.. And not go the way of Japanese. Otherwise banks get decimated with negative rates. Japanese are buying safes and hoarding cash n gold in their homes.

Main thing that is negative is global policy shift in terms of Europeans and USA. We are entering tightening cycle.
