What rules are you using to generate these trendlines? How do you decide when and where to draw them?

Just look at the chart aggregate peaks and lows on intermediate term timeframes. If it looks like it's adhering to multiple touches from above and below than trendine is valid. I try to extend them out to the right and left on chart also.
