That makes refinement easier! You can look at single trades in isolation and refine. There is a reason (for lack of a better word) the market makes a relatively outsized move (for purposes of this discussion) against your signal.

No, that was a drawdown registered on one trade, some drawdowns were 10-15 pts

As tiddlywinks suggests re applying filters; for instance what would happen to your overall results if you added a hard stop at say 7 points (or 6 points etc)?
 
I often wonder whether I should try and hold on to a trade for as long as possible or try and be less greedy and go for x3 average stop and close. IMO it would be almost impossible to forward plan this as we just don't know what exactly the future holds. It is obvious that I would have more wins that way, yet whether the final result would be an improvement is tough to estimate with any degree of certainty. This week I will try and close after 6 pts profit, unless it's really on fire, but I would run stats based on just closing out after +6pts.
