One additional item to mention. The hourly cash chart has never been negative so a long signal on the 15 or 5 cash chart can be traded using the ES as well. Many folks who know my trading know that I maintain both cash and futures charts open as an additional filter
 
Am so glad I only trade up to 9:30cdt, one hour most days has most of price action moving and can do volume. I am glad I got the experience of years of lunch and afternoon sessions of chop, but long term of wasting away trading for so little and less volume just wastes away quality of life.
Pick a few good places in morning and be done with it.

I'm with you. Most days if I haven't entered by 7:30 PST, I just shut it down and start cooking my bacon and eggs. The same setups usually show up at the same times in the morning, so if I don't get what I'm looking for during the right window, I won't even bother.
