ES Journal - 2015

Since I'm only trading with 1-3 contracts, it would have to take an act of Satan himself to move the ES enough to the point where I would be in serious pain. I found that when I had a hard stop I was more likely to wait for the market to hit it, instead of watching the DOM and just getting out if I don't like what I see.

I've been really hoping to catch a good "flip" setup around 64.50's. If it plays out, I'd be long from 64.50's to 84.75's and 91's.

Looks like we got the 84.50's without the 64.50's test. My vision for tomorrow morning is we either open near 84.50's and hold it as support, which I will buy with a target of 91's. OR if we open below it and sell, I'd be waiting to see if we can get that 64.50's test before buying.

Rollercoaster day - actually finished down a few points.
I made 2 or 3 great trades, but I got chopped to pieces at around midday to 2.30pm US times. (my evening), as price flirted with the globex high.
Had me losing on (failed) reversals and breakouts.
As is nearly always the case, quit for the day when you're ahead.
I'm just uncomfortable with doing that, as the idea is that if you have an 'edge' you 'push it' and keep taking the signals.

Maybe a break from the realtime calls - besides, i'm kind of the only one making them anyway, so it ain't much fun! ;)

Brian I'd make realtime calls but I'm busy trading and by the time I post them they'll be stale. Maybe I'll give it a whack anyway and see what happens.

You use a trading plan or do you trade more or less by feel? You seem to make very good calls. You sound like you're in Europe.

--04/03/15. Good Friday close. Price is 2039.75. Still Short. Price has not moved enough yet to lower my stop. I had thought perhaps I would have had a chance to lower it, but not so far. Stop out levels would all be in the noise.
--4/07/15 Tues Afterhours PM. Price is 2068.25. Lowering my protective buy stop here to 2086.00. Downtrend has shown no continuation but the bounce has stalled here. I am lowering my stop to a point just outside the noise.
