ES Journal - 2015

To be fair, the behavior of the ES is some of the most predictable around. I would think that would make for pretty easy trading.
LOL. Oh sure, it's just of one of the world's most efficient markets. Other than that, it's like taking candy from baby.

I would think you'd be very wealthy by now.

Staying long for now. I make decisions on no chart shorter than 60 minute chart. Thread somewhat silent right now because a few people were short and stopped posting once the market moved against their positions without stops in place. Stops must always be placed. Averaging trades only works somewhat in ranging markets---not in trending markets. Trading as if market is always trending and placing tight stops is the way to trade always regardless of type of market.

After wavering for a bit, I'm coming back around to your POV on this. USD/JPY just one example of how the deck is stacked against shorts.

Weak hands get shaken out, bad timing and good timing coupled with bad stop loss placement take you out ...some are maybe positioned properly with their timing and stop and just waiting for their position to prosper. Many seem to be very short term and post side by side with the noise of the market.

Those of us raised on video games and sugar find what you suggest to be well nigh intolerable.

Well then...I hope you know how to hedge against insulin spikes. As it is a short term ailment, a sugar crash does not usually require medical intervention in most people. The most important factors to consider when addressing this issue are the composition and timing of foods. Acute low blood sugar symptoms are best treated by consuming small amounts of sweet foods, so as to regain balance in the body’s carbohydrate metabolism. Consistently choose longer lasting, complex carbohydrates to prevent rapid blood-sugar dips in the event that one does consume a disproportionately large amount of carbohydrates with a meal.

When was the last time this journal went this quiet?

Its quiet because very few traders are trading this now, ES volatility is down huge again (like it is 90% of the time these days).

"The desire for constant action irrespective of underlying conditions is responsible for many losses in Wall Street even among the professionals, who feel that they must take home some money every day, as though they were working for regular wages." - Jesse livermore
