ES Journal - 2015

These are my couple of trades for the day. Obviously this is just in demo mode. I made a few silly mistakes then got my head in gear and had a nice upwards run. I should have been paying more attention at the start, and I need to start treating this as Live. See chart also.

Nice job.

I can't tell by those times:
Are you tracking your MFE and MAE? Will your trade history show that?
Knowing your MFE over hundreds of trade can help develop your trading plan, can help set your stop and target level.

I didn't know what they were until I just read up about it, and no I'm not tracking them at the moment.

nice 1993.50
Still have 21.50 short (from prior session short 27.50 + 15 short add yesterday).
I doubt can make it to 81...but would be a happy buyer there (77 to 82 range)

Half off now @ 1996 +25.5 (Kudos to Gann swing 54.50 this week covering rest today either way.)

Let's just say I wasn't smiling much until Oil started to close.

Mostly watching the lagging NQ. It managed a triple top only. Already divergence between the two.
A number of other things, here is one. Throw a kumo cloud hourly ES. This cloud is thick today, thickest of the entire week. You look at that premarket and think Will take a battering ram to get through and up, a good old trend day from the first tick (we didn't have that, just range). Before the open, that cloud meant price would be pulled into it, and likely hit the flat top of the kumo (2014 on my chart). And many times in ES this same thick pattern is rejected, goes in, hammers out. I heard the spin on the OIL spike and saw the start of an inverted hammer on the hourly and jumped on the NQ short 91.

The thicker the cloud the thicker the S/R built up there and this case thick Resistance.

that and somehow a Gann harmonic low was due ; - )

Both short term and intermediate term trends are now down with long term trend waivering. We are now in a short term (at least) bear market. It remains to be seen if it will be full blown bear. Odds greater than 50%. Can you buy in a bear market? Yes. I will be keeping a shorter leash on longs.
