Ninjatrader has range charts. I imagine most platforms do, which makes me wonder if it will do what you want and if you're talking about something else....

Need advice, what is the type of chart that completes a bar after price has increased or decreased by a predetermined amount? It is sort of similar to Renko, I just don't want it to be time based. Thanks.

Neither Renko nor Range are time based. The difference between the two is that a total 10 tick move will give you a 10 tick Range bar, while for a Renko, you need a 10 tick move in one direction for bar completion (and it would ignore moves in the opposite direction less than 10 ticks).

You also have tick charts which are based on price changes. These also ignore time.

Personally, I'm now experimenting with volume charts. I will also be looking into range and tick in more detail. But I'm thinking volume charts hold a lot of promise.

This morning is an example of where activity based charts shine. The 1-minute chart had a lot of long bars and tails, but volume and tick charts had a nice and orderly structure.

Other times, the minute and activity based charts may be similar.

Buying should step in around 93 94 today. I am looking long

We're on the same page. :)

I think we will be seeing 2110+ today.

Pullbacks should be nice for entries to the long side.
