I like short, but the best trader i've ever seen it long from 18.5, so can't take it
And he's out here at 28
I know. Better to buy the dip, but just couldn't resist. It looked too damn frothy, especiallly considering that we had a big dip in the morning.
I was curious when I saw this because he got out right in the middle of the trend that continued going higher. The reason why I found this curious was that if he was using some magic, as you think, should he not have known that the trend was far from over? I don't know, maybe he had somewhere to go and hence why he exited, but so many of his other trades that you posted in real time have been catching the absolute tops and bottoms of moves, as if he knew where the move will start and end. So why didn't he know this time that the trend was far from over?
At the same time, because he does appear to scale out, this would be indicative of not being 100% sure that you have the holy grail. I mean if you had whatever inside info is necessary (and this I still doubt because its not like its one fund controlling everything... more like funds competing against eachother, so even if you knew what one fund was doing, you wouldn't know what your competition was doing), then you would more than likely be fully in or fully out. Scaling out is used to lock in profits and lets some winners run if they do in fact run when you aren't sure that it will reach some way off target.
Don't get me wrong, his calls are incredible from what I have seen, but based on a few little things, I think its safer to conclude that he is damn good versus clairvoyant or privy to inside info.
