It is with great sadness that I post here today. My friend of several years and my informal trading mentor, Bighog, passed away early this morning following a long illness.

I met him back in early summer 2008 in ET's old chat room. He loved the fact that I would just fearlessly put on trades despite only a few months of experience in the market. We hit it off well and he was a regular poster to my trading journal here on ET.

Hog loved trading the ES and shared with me so much technical price action knowledge of its workings. I still have several of his simple black and white bar charts annotated by hand. After a long time stubbornly trying to figure things out my way, I came to understand the simple and effective concepts behind what he'd tried to tell me all the time.

We spent months together on Skype every day for full pit sessions. If I invited a newbie to join us, he'd never hesitate to tell it like it is. "You're undercapitalized. You're trading scared money and wasting our time! Get a job, save some money, then come back here and trade!"

I will miss his stories of trading the ES, his political rants, and his periodic YouTube links he'd send me to all sorts of old songs.

This one's for you, Hog!

Man, I'm so sorry for your loss as well as ET's loss. He WAS the real deal and I was jealous that he mentored you...I once PM'd him but got no reply so decided he was too busy...anywhoo...I still enjoyed his posts and learned a lot from him. :(

No offense Richard, but I think hog would rather mentor a smoking hot blonde like NoDoji than a dude named "Dick Rhymes".

I do not believe the real NoDoJi would go as low as using her physical attributes to lure a trader.
I actually thought NoDoJi had many more years of experiences : that in 2005 she was already mentoring
around. But I might be mistaken.

Also we do not know if he was actually ill when Richad tried to contact him and he preferred
discussing with those he knew, hence the no reply.

As the man is dead, let's not use his life/memories for whatever hidden purpose.
Now Rest in peace.

It was a joke. Maybe it was too soon. I hope I didn't offend anyone with my post. I know neither Doji, or what she looks like, or Big Hog.
 
I think Big Hog would have had a good laugh...........

back on track...ES plan for the week...hummm options Expiration This week..Turkey Day around the corner bodes well (usually) for the market...so slight bias to the upside.
