ES Journal - 2014

Ah that sucks.
I cut half of mine at 1196.40
Watching 1201 area to put it back on. Looks like its going to be a long wait.
It should explode above 1212-1215 area. Would be nice to see this week

Actually 1208 is the magic number in TF!

Yes, it does. Definitely thinner than TF. I would say S&P 400 has about 25% of the volume of TF. But, as I said, I find it a bit more orderly. If TF is working for you, don't change anything. Plus, I sometime spread EMD against YM (going long one and short another), and since both are on GLOBEX, I get better margin treatment. I will not get that on YM vs. TF as they are on different exchanges

I agree EMD is a very good market to trade, have to use limits to get in and I have found to watch other indexes to show signs of faster market movement as EMD tends to spurt and If I am on wrong side of the spurting to hit the bids/asks before letting it be stopped out with slippage. But can't do any kind of volume cause many won't do much scalping there cause of the slippage. Scalpers tend to give instruments volume. Many Many ES scalpers that go for 1-3 ticks allows retail to get in without huge slippage, just so much in EMD and YM.

Do you spread cause of the risk or have you done "spread extreme" charts? I have done those like on over 500 spreads for intraday/long term, some are very reliable and others I never do. I have it automated on couple PCs cause of all the data, slows down cause intraday data volume, but works great. Enjoy

Off for an hour or so.
Market better have paid me my wages by the time i'm back at the screen

As always, much obliged for the easy $$$$ :)

Out here at 1969 for +8 ES points. My daily average.

Off out. See you tomorrow!

Closer we get to 2000 the more 2000 will work as a magnet.

Buying at like 1990 or so should be one of the most high probability trades to ever exist.

I have to believe you. Your posts have been spot on. Specially the 1000 points drop you called a few days ago. :p

Interestingly, I've found that price tends to pull back from "pre-magnet level" (10 ticks in CL, not sure what is equivalent in ES) and shake out everyone who got in there, afraid of missing the blow off move. Once that's done, shorts are sucked in and the real move then transpires.
