ES Journal - 2014

I don't know if it's another 99-00 but it is certainly an anomaly. It only takes a little research to figure it out. Just look at how often we are closing in the upper 25% of the range almost everyday the past month/ month and a half. Couple that with the fact that there is absolutely no vol and this has pretty much never happened.

To me, it's a warning sign.

A matter of time until we see 2000+ on the ES, so I guess only going long certainly puts the odds in ones favour.

Bingo. And it's as easy as that, as i've been saying since i've been posting here
Use the inbuilt edge of a manipulated market.

We ARE going a LOT higher over time. We MUST!
I like to run with odds.

Should see 2k soon. Off to watch England lose again! Later

Have most of the regulars finally blew up? : Don't post here much, but Volente, Startraitor, schizo and lots of other names I forget who used to post their trades a lot seem to have gone.
Things seem quiet.
There's always been a very bearish bias in this thread, but the market has been going up most days for years and years. Was bound to wipe most out I guess.

It could be that, but it's also likely that the lack of volatility just leads to fewer people being excited to mention anything of value. That is if they have anything of value to even add!

Even on the Nq, the sellers are come in quite fiercely, and it ropes back up. 10:02est 1 min Nq bar shows possible weakness after news release, but then the next bar shows a weak up bar. Not enough to trap the shorts, and the next bar tests the highly nothing to buy with conviction. Then it pushes up hard. Fast forward to 10:16est Nq bar. 1 min bar. Possible continuation here, but the next bar shows minimal conviction. Then the next 2 bars test highs, and then ramp back up. There's no upside conviction until it breaks to each successive high, then it's crazy up. Breakout traders are happy, but those of us trying to follow the moves, it's quite difficult. Never seen anything like it in my 6.5 years of trading

I'm sure that some can, but I was never able to decipher the meaning within the candles themselves. Doesn't an up bar seem "weak" or that it's "lacking conviction" right up until it smashes through the highs? I found that the price levels themselves offered the most amount of objectivity, since they are not subject to interpretation (in my opinion). Friday's RTH opening price is always going to be 1955.50, so I found it easiest to base my rules on things like that. YMMV of course.

Maybe if u close your eyes and go long like u do. Based upon price action, there's been no setups. The ES push up was right after news release. The NQ hasn't had any decent setups either even though it's flown up. Crazy day. I usually make 3-4 trades by now, but nothing

I had a trend change right before news and disregarded it as it happened on lite volume, so after waited for testing of thrust bar which was small retracement on 1 minute, bought near lows of those bars. 9:08 to 9:18 was little sideways action which normally goes up near highs. If one studies enough Price action of what happens at extremes, you can read market much better when to get out and when to get in or stand aside. Sideways actions in almost all timeframes means it will most likely go up providing ave Swing Length has not take place, when Price has made the average in Swing length which right now is 7.25 to 10.00pts in ES. Many will view this sideways action to be like a corrective wave in Elliott. Tadaaaaa And on some timeframes you can see right now Head & Shoulders top, which to me means going down.

My short at 1958.50 and averaged down to short all the way up till 1960, I exited and made + 2, + 3, + 4, + 5, + 6, + 7, + 8, who says you can't make money scalping?
