I am still coming back from extensive illnesses, so I am not up to fully what I was doing 1.5 years ago, just started to day trade again few months ago. I am doing 125 in ES in first 45 minutes unless the market is pulling it till 10:00CST, but I have a goal of 4.00pts based on original entry and not add-ons, and once I get that, my platform automatically takes over size after than, so I might be at 24 or less depending on volume each minute, or even above 24, just depends on how many pushing through for volume. For NQ, I start with 50, then that drops to 20 or lower after I make my goal of 10.00pts. Yes, NQ much more jumpy, ES, CL, GC only markets you can push size. If you want to get scared, TF is fun, slippage can make you lose your lunch, LOL. Yea, this crap is so boring after awhile, same patterns all day long, but it better than saying "You want fries with that"? ROFLAMO

I am not encouraging anyone to do anything, all are big boys/girls here. But you right, big money has always been in long term trading/investing and I still make 50-80% of my profits in long term. Some commodity trades I have taken last for years, just keep rolling them over, stocks much less so as I get false signals to end trades, but there is always something to buy/sell in the Dow 30.

Although I went to school to read all the fundamentals and I understand over all behaviors of governments, when I stopped trying to use that information in my trading 21 years ago was the last losing year, I have doing long term stocks and commodities/short term options and in day trading means nothing since I am seldom in any trade more than ten minutes. I have found all news, someone else has gotten it way before me and sometimes by weeks, price always reflects the news is my opinion.
