I am sooo glad I am not a beginning day trader, took so long to get really good at this. Seems like millions of back tests, brainstorming and still do. But you still make more profits from long term trading stocks, less fees-less trades, have a real life. But everyone thinks they are smarter than the average bear, looks so easy, ROFL. You know when you start getting good when you can make 10 points trading nothing but chop most of the day....Yikes

I think range trading (chop) is easier and suits my personality. Have a hard time hanging on to a real trend because I can't figure out where to get off the train in most cases. I dislike "giving it back" more than getting stopped out from the start.

The dificulty is not trading the chop it's identifying it early enuf to take advantage of it.
