This is insanely light volume for a Monday. More wicks than sticks on the charts.

Maybe people drank too much wine yesterday at communion.

It was somewhat predictable if you study how the volatility of the ES market contracts and expands. When the 60 min RTH chart is trending for a number of days without testing the 20ema, volume starts to dry up, as does volatility as all the big players are in, and merely waiting for the slow churn up.

Days like this, I'll often trade the first 30 mins, and then hang it up for the day.
