ES Journal - 2014

Quote from Stocks4life:

maybe I should go back to CL, some big R:R trades there but use to have trouble with CL and obeying levels, ES follows levels so nicely

I agree that ES is very well-behaved compared to CL, but I'm a bit of an ADD scalper and CL serves that personality well :p

I usually only trade ES in the last hour, I found out years ago it's difficult for me to focus on both.

Quote from NoDoji:

Was in a quite a few, but the most profitable was 10:50 eastern time

long CL 93.05 = stopped / -10
long CL 93.05 = closed 93.45 / + 40 ahead of news
long CL 93.50 = stopped .40 / -10 into news
long CL 93.85 = closed 94.36 / +51 around the 10:50am entry mark
some other 0-cent scratches as well

meanwhile, ES and TF remain 100% sideways dead again... more sessions than not so far in 2014. Cannot highly profit from symbols that consistently string sideways. The lifeblood of short-term trading is volatility, and so far stock markets have none of that yet.

Gotta love the 1-2-3

gorgeous. Lets hope we can keep moving up like this all week [/QUOTE

I have been casually watching this ES thread. What caught my attention is being curious where pinkman places the STOP. Maybe he could enlighten me before price drops to 1809.50 again. PHEW, who wants to trade like that? Not I.

I am not wired to take that kind of heat and then do a double up.

Nodoji, you have a great memory, LOL!! Believe me, I admire your ability to trade crude oil as well as you do. I read your post where you said it was difficult to trade ES while also trying to focus on CL. I find it the same way with ES and CL, I now focus on what I know best and find "style" has a lot to do on how well we all trade what. CL and ES are like the old saying: different strokes for different folks. The pace of ES can be slow but yet the RUNNERS simply work. Runners in CL are wicked also but I prefer to pet puppies rather than snakes. The problem with snakes is if you are not careful it snaps around and bites.

Dogs circling the hydrant are more patient.........hahahah

:)

because it has just dropped and came back 30 points??? hello????

Thats an anomaly, not the norm. Volatility is dead, has been dead for a while now...
