ES Journal - 2013

Although it was borked by the data 'problem?' from yesterday, 1160 on RUT cash is the obvious number. Wonder how many people are watching it, in part because it's log scale, and in part because it's just a line that a 4th grader could draw.

Someone was flashing near a thousand contracts near 1158 on the futures (which is huge for the russell).

Also watching 3573-3575 or so on NQ.

The size shows up, then disappears:

Ha, now there's a ton on the bid side at 1160.1 but disappeared again from the ask... holiday games. Fun to watch. Must be to try to toy with some bots up here?

10:40AM EST: Size again on the ask around 1160.3 - 1160.9.

FWIW, did some further research. Looks like nice confluence is up ahead.

Mistake from the -1 NQ 3560.25 entry was, as usual, jumping the gun.. but the position is so small (small as possible) that there is no concern about heat -- "Is that a lot of heat?" (emg style). No.

Position strategy is simple (two scenarios):

1) Start with the minimum size position, and build into a winner on the pops if a downswing develops, and do not add to the loser. Trail stop beyond the retraces/adds. Look for shorter term buy signals to reduce. Look for solid longer term buy signal to exit or reverse.

2) If the upper lines are violated, exit with small loss and re-evaluate bearish view.

2014 New Year's resolution: Try the whole non counter-trend trading concept, for which good things have been mentioned by the vets.

Happy holidays.

The masses are worn out trying to short. The boat is weighted to one side. Fed knows it, institutions know it. Thry need to sell into strength and get short; only way to unload th e size they newd to unload. that's why we are seeing price tgts at 1900.

Merry Xmas all.
