ES Journal - 2013

Hey Trv,
I did like anything keltner but not using it.
Pivots, vwap can be helpful, return to the scene of the crime often, like today. Not much different than VSA techniques. Supply/Demand pockets.
I use kalman filters and hull to keep me out of trouble, on a low timeframe, with clear direction on higher frame. Fun area of research lately, work in progress on different filters.

Something else, sentiment, those that I consider smart traders, swing traders got bullish last Friday for this week - we can't all fit in the boat at the same time.

Easier to paste: I posted this on another thread:
Nice write-up.

I traded this yesterday, look at the 11:38 bar. Throw the least lagging MA (zero lag MA or close to it as possible, Kalman, JMA, HMA, Tillson whatever) on the NQ and you would have caught the turn earlier. (and with your pitchfork med failure for confirm). NQ likes to run like a scalded cat when ES is just back & fill. It caught the bottom for an exit.

Glad to see the research continue. I hadn't seen any mention of keltner channels lately so thought I would ask.

Kind of like me with the ever-present RSI 9/5/3 in the background for the occasional glance on a smaller timeframe.

pivots are holding well today as is the defined channels by the biggies. Curious to watch trans' pattern play itself out.

small runner left, 4 tick neg, low risk.
exit is 55
NQ... no confirm...starts to confirm with es, this hold probably not a good idea : )
