ES Journal - 2013

Checking in here for the first time in many months. Good to see some of you guys still at it. Not much has really changed it seems--seems about 90% shorts today. Shorting new all-time highs when only 2 days out of the last 15 have broken the prior day's low. Some things never change :)

Welcome back! well that was way too negative tone :D

To give it a positive spin, ammo is still consistently profitable, star is making money hand over fists, luvoptions is doing wonderful, volente is rocking like always - this is for all the old hands. Even a comparatively new hand like me is making money 3 months out of 4 these days. So, I counted 5 guys at least (i am sure i am missing many more) who are consistently making money and posting on this very thread on ET.

So, Not all that gloom and doom here :)

Howz you doing these days? Think I sent you a PM few months back asking your well-being.

haha! Not meant to be negative at all my friend, just an observation. Glad you guys are doing great and making good money. I thought I responded to your PM, but sorry if I did not--I am hanging in there buddy!

I've got first resistance area at 2978 - 2979 on NQ... (just look at daily longer term) where it is now. That's one area to try the dreaded 'S' word.

Beyond that we have close to 15,200 on YM (that is higher!) and other higher areas on the cash indexes.

So this is an example of, "Do I want to try to short at the very first resistance area?"

Personally, I am sitting on my hands. (Anyway, this is how I like to trade, it works for me).

edit: I'm also watching /TF and /EMD since they are (today) below the all time highs set in last night's overnight action..

Yes, I actually deleted the comment because shortly after i posted it i saw the opportunity for a scalp short. lol

Long time I am forgetting - So let me ask? Which software you use for trading and strategy development?

Haha, no worries :) I don't look at these resistance areas as scalp opportunities. I'm a terrible short term trader.. but I try to make each trade *start* as a short term trade.

edit: I tried editing to remove your quoted post from my previous post (since you deleted), but I missed the 30 minute window. Sorry.
