With technical analysis I suppose. From the hourly chart I'm guessing that he probably saw that there was a failure to traverse at the neckline (1640) and concluded that the bottom was in. He changed his mind and cut his losses after it was again breached in the subsequent u turn.

The big boys know what retail traders are looking for, its so easy for them to run those stops several times in BOTH directions, whipsawing them in the process. Markets are constantly in a flux, always adjusting to new information (and manipulation), its not static so there really is no point in trying to predict what it will do with static tools like technical analysis. It will never work.

At least try not to quote him if you must respond to his gibberish to prevent the rest of us from seeing his spew.
