Why is this a good short (not talking about a scalp here)?
I thought so this morning when we first topped out, but with this development and holiday mode I just don't see it today (as things are now).
What I expect from here is that we consolidate in this tight range and make a new push up or that we pull back deeper before making new highs. Action will probably be choppy though.
Thoughts?

Low(er) volume this week is easy to keep propped for eoy.
Not sure about large short positions, although negative news is always a threat.
Fiscal cliff is bullshit posturing. If we cared about fiscal ramifications, Harry Reid and the senate would have submitted budgets these last four years. The bigger game plan can only be executed in time of crisis.......but that may be a week or a year away.

I can see a scalp entry for a short here, but I'm fearful of buying spikes.

if they push it to a good spot to short,you dont want to go against them, this is contrarian trading, if you are a go with the trend trader we may have some upside left, and you have to ask yourself is this the start of a 3 day move ,is it for real or are we being gamed,personally i am just looking for a pullback to get out of some bad trades,i thought it was bs early on ,didnt take the pullback ,now it looks for real

23,50 minimum target. Will probably see 25 today as well. Not sure beyond that. Probably good for a high and then chop from there.
